Welcome to the Huntsman

Adrian first took over The Huntsman on 14th February 1983. Much to the distress of the seller, he declined to open for business that night and closed the restaurant for alterations! "You can't put a carvery in that little restaurant" was the cry from all around - but Adrian knew better.
After buying and closing the restaurant, six weeks of hard labour followed, as the kitchens were ripped out and the specially designed carvery installed. The Huntsman officially opened for business on Sunday 20th March 1983. In August that year, we had a call from a young lady called Nicky looking for a part-time job while she went to college - twenty years on and she still works here along with Andrew and Dean.

In November 1999 with the purchase and redevelopment of the Southam Road side, decorated throughout in the Huntsman style. The new room has disabled access directly from Southam Road and is ramped all the way to the carvery. It also has a disabled/family toilet suite with baby-change facilities, ensuring a greater convenience for more of our guests.

In July 2005 we opened our latest edition to the Huntsman, with our new main entrance leading into a spacious reception area and bar. On your next visit to us, take a look at our specially commissioned stained glass window above the bar, you won't see another window like it, see if you can spot the fox!

The restaurant is fully air conditioned throughout, and we are proud to say we are FULLY NON-SMOKING. We strive to make your visit better for you and listen carefully to all customer comments. This has enabled us to improve over the years, consistently giving you the comfort and service you would like at a price we think is reasonable and fair. Keep those comments coming!
